FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHERE IS YOUR SHOWROOM, AND CAN I SEE STOVES AND FIREPLACES DISPLAYED?
1149 Spring Road, Grantsville MD, 21536 is our office and showroom address. Our showroom features over 2,000 square feet of floor space and many displays. If you’re hoping to see a specific model it would be best to call first and see if we have what you’re looking for on the showroom floor.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD I HAVE MY CHIMNEY CLEANED?
Annual cleanings and inspections are recommended by all major hearth groups and they’re required in some cases. We generally agree that it’s a good idea to get your chimney system checked every year, but we’ll let you know if you system doesn’t need an annual check-up.
DO I HAVE TO BE HOME WHEN THE WORK IS DONE? I NEED TO SCHEDULE A SERVICE BUT I’M NOT SURE IF I’LL BE ABLE TO BE THERE.
Not usually. You should let us know if you can’t be home so that we can make arrangements for accessing your home, locking it up when we’re done (if you want us to do that), etc. Depending on the work that’s being done, we might not even need to get inside your home at all. If our work is strictly exterior and we cannot get into the house we will still typically need access to water and electricity on the outside of the house.
HOW LONG WILL I HAVE TO WAIT FOR A CLEANING OR OTHER SERVICE APPOINTMENT?
Good question! It often depends on the season. We can schedule most cleaning appointments within one week in the Spring, but many folks have to wait several weeks in the Fall. Be assured that if you have an emergency situation we’ll get it done quickly even if the schedule is otherwise very full.
